Investigating Serious Incidents

The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for handling complex investigations, follow-up reports, evidence review, interviews, and case development. CID supports patrol by taking responsibility for incidents that require extended investigation beyond the initial call response.

Investigators are expected to be detail-oriented, professional, and capable of documenting cases clearly for command review and future action.

Division Responsibilities

Primary Duties

• Conduct follow-up investigations
• Review evidence and written reports
• Interview involved parties when required
• Assist patrol with serious or complex incidents
• Prepare case summaries for command review
