Improving Roadway Safety
The Traffic Enforcement Unit is responsible for proactive traffic enforcement, crash response support, DUI enforcement, and roadway safety throughout Blaine County. TEU deputies focus on reducing reckless driving, improving traffic flow, and supporting patrol operations during high-risk roadway incidents.
Members assigned to this unit are expected to demonstrate strong judgment, professional communication, and a detailed understanding of traffic enforcement procedures.
Unit Responsibilities
Primary Duties
• Conduct traffic stops and proactive roadway enforcement
• Assist with crash scenes and road closures
• Support DUI and reckless driving enforcement
• Provide traffic control during events and emergency scenes
• Work alongside patrol supervisors to identify high-risk areas
